Main Street in Joplin was home to some big discounts and big deals as apart of this year's sidewalk sale.
Vendors closed down Main Street between 4th street and 7th street for the sale Saturday. Many vendors were offering major discounts on their items on the sidewalk, and businesses were also offering special deals.
Business owners say it's a way to draw in more people to shop in the Downtown area.
"It gets more people out more than any other sale time of the year, for downtown at least." says Upstairs Boutique Operations manager, Kevin Caueel.
Teddy Steen of Blue Moon Market says "downtown is in the process of really rebuilding itself and it gives people an opportunity to come down and see what's going on."
If you haven't completed your shopping yet -- great deals will continue next weekend for sales tax free weekend.
