AG Schmidt's office to provide consumer protection information at Crawford County Fair
TOPEKA - (July 29, 2013) - Information to help consumers protect themselves from identity theft, scams and deceptive business practices will be offered this week at the Crawford County Fair, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said today.
"Helping Kansans protect themselves and their families from scams and rip-offs is part of our mission," Schmidt said. "I hope folks will stop by our booth to visit and to pick up some information."
The Attorney General's Office will sponsor a booth at the fairgrounds to provide information and help consumers learn more about the latest scams being reported in the state. The booth will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31 to Saturday, August 3.
The Crawford County Fairgrounds are located at 249 E. 47 Highway in Girard.
