The University of Arkansas volleyball team will make threetelevision appearances in 2013 as part of the SEC television package releasedWednesday in conjunction with ESPNU, SportSouth (SPSO) and Comcast/CharterSports Southeast (CSS). The Razorbacks and Barnhill Arena will play host to twoof the three television dates, including an Oct. 2 national appearance onESPNU.
The conference's first match of the ESPNU Wednesday NightVolleyball schedule on Oct. 2 will originate from Fayetteville with theRazorbacks hosting Missouri at 6 p.m. (CT). The match will be the lead-in forthe network's weekly doubleheader. Arkansas' second home televised match isscheduled for Oct. 20 when the team plays Georgia with first serve set for 1:30p.m.
The two home dates will be split by a television appearance Oct.13 on the road against Tennessee. The inter-division matchup will be played atThompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn., with first serve at noon.
Among all teams in the conference, the networks will broadcast 18live SEC volleyball matches this season. Every ESPNU match will be available onWatchESPN, while SportSouth and CSS matches will also be made available onESPN3.
Arkansas will play its annual Red-White scrimmage Aug. 18 at 4p.m. which will be followed by a fan event for season-ticket holders. The teamopens its season Aug. 30-31 with the Arkansas Invitational at Barnhill Arena.The Razorbacks have 16 home matches on their 2013 schedule and will play nineteams that advanced to last year's NCAA Tournament.
Season tickets for the 2013 Arkansas volleyball season are now onsale through the Razorback Ticket Center, both online and at the physicallocation near Baum Stadium.
