State of the art fitness and wellness center is coming to Pittsburg

Updated:

A state of the art fitness and wellness center is coming to Pittsburg, Kansas.  Pinamonti Physical Therapy broke ground today on a center that will include an indoor track, climbing wall, aquatic therapy and performance conditioning and wellness programs.

Pinamonti Physical Therapy says the $5.2 million expansion will add 26,000 to their current facility and is expected to add about 30 jobs.

"It's vital that we have expansions like this," says Pittsburg Mayor Michael Gray.  "Pinamonti is a good example of a home grown entrepreneur who is deciding to stay in Pittsburg and grow their business here, and in order for Pittsburg to succeed and grow we have to have more of that."

The new facility is expected to be open at the end of Spring 2014.

Pinamonti Physical Therapy breaks ground on new wellness center

Pittsburg (KS) - Pinamonti Physical Therapy broke ground Thursday, August 15th, on their new Wellness Center, a 26,000 square foot facility that is expected to open the end of Spring, 2014.

Pinamonti Physical Therapy currently offers private outpatient physical therapy and performance training services. The new $5.2 million center will expand those services as well as introduce a full service facility which includes a state-of-the art fitness center with indoor track, aquatic therapy and performance conditioning, personal and corporate wellness programs, and amenities such as a wi-fi cafe, and retail offerings.

"This center is the next step in bringing much needed wellness services to the Pittsburg area. It's not just about expanding our business model, it's about providing a service to our residents and the people of the four-states area to improve their quality of life," said Brian Pinamonti, President and Founder of Pinamonti Physical Therapy. "This center will enhance our community in numerous ways and will provide an experience that our town so greatly deserves."

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback was in attendance and praised the center as an excellent example of the importance of how business is thriving in Southeast Kansas. "I'm glad to see this center taking place. We are trying to create an environment in the state of Kansas that is pro growth. For a lot of years we were losing business but we're getting in the game now. We don't have to lose our services and citizenry to other places, they can come here, and they are. This center will provide the latest in physical therapy for the members of the community, so that they don't have to drive a long way to get the best in technology, and the best in care, that is currently available. This is great for the citizens of Pittsburg and the surrounding areas," he stated.

The new Pinamonti Wellness Center will be located at the company's current location.
