The mill levy is going up in Bourbon County, Kansas to help fund maintenance needs at Fort Scott Community College.
Windows fog over at the college's Burke Street nursing campus. The 54-year-old building is mostly windows which leak moisture.
At the main campus, the Bailey buildings round room has seats that are breaking down -- some have even been removed for safety reasons. And the parking lot is crumbling with a string of potholes.
The president says raising the mill levy from 25 to 29, can get repairs started.
The increased levy will provide more than $300 thousand dollars each year.
