March of Dimes partners with Macy's for 8th annual "Shop for a Cause"

(St. Louis, August 20, 2013)... Macy's offers customers a simple way to make a difference and enjoy savings during the 8th annual "Shop for a Cause" event this Saturday, August 24th. March of Dimes is the exclusive national in-store beneficiary of "Shop for a Cause" which takes place in all Macy's stores and online. The one-day-only event was created to support local charities' fundraising efforts and has helped raise more than $42 million for charitable organizations across the country since 2006.

On Saturday, customers making a purchase with a "Shop For A Cause" savings pass will receive 25% off on regular, sale and clearance merchandise, as well as 10% off watches, furniture, mattresses and area rugs, plus are eligible to win a $500 gift card. Customers may purchase shopping passes in advance at all Macy's locations August 14-24, or online the day of the event. Shopping passes are $5 and 100% of their cost will benefit March of Dimes. Customers can support March of Dimes while enjoying a day of spectacular discounts, entertainment and special events. Last year alone, Macy's raised $3.2 million for the March of Dimes mission to give moms full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.
