Neosho firefighters took to the streets this morning to raise money for a serious disease that kills thousands each year.
The firefighters grouped together at the intersection of Highway 60 and Highway 59 in Neosho...collecting money for Muscular Dystrophy. The goal was to fill this boot...with all proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association - and help children and adults affected by progressive and often fatal muscle diseases.
Fire fighters say this year is no different than the rest...and they hope to continue this tradition for many years to come
"it's great. It's amazing how much people want to donate. We'll have people stop even if we're not paying attention and waving dollar bills at us" says Manager, Wade Sterling.
The firefighters hope to raise $10,000.
