Jasper County sheriff's provide corrected info regarding Tuesday robbery

Updated September 4, 2013 at 11:50 AM CST:  The Jasper County Sheriff's Office has issued a correction to Tuesday's press release.

UPDATE ISSUED SEPTEMBER 4, 2013 FROM THE JASPER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Original information received on the suspects  yesterday said they were between 18 and 20 yrs old is not correct.  The new information is now just that they were males and unknown age.

More information will be released if possible during this investigation.

Please remind the public to call with any information or tips they may have to the numbers provided on the press release from yesterday.

Posted September 3, 2013 at 3:52 PM CST:  For a short time this afternoon the Jasper School was in lockdown as authorities searched for suspects from a nearby robbery.

According to a news release from the Jasper County Sheriff's office, posted below, two men robbed Judy's Liquor Store, which is about one-third of a mile east of the school.

Authorities are still searching for the suspects.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Jasper County Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 417-359-9100.

 

NEWS RELEASE ISSUED SEPTEMBER 3, 2013 BY THE JASPER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

On 9-3-13 atapproximately 12:31 pm  hrs, Jasper County Deputies responded to  403 N.  4th st in Jasper, Mo., in reference to a robbery that occurred.

Initial reports suggest two young males entered Judy's liquor store possibly armed and left with an undisclosed amountof money on foot.

Male #118-20 yrs old , wearing a mask, Black Long sleeve shirt, black pants. Possiblyarmed with a handgun.

Male #218-20 yrs old, wearing gray  Sweat shirt blue jeans.

Unknown ethnicity of males and unknown if they had a vehicle.

The investigation continues.
