Trade Your Tee Tuesday gets more Gorilla gear on the campus of PSU

Updated:

It was a wardrobe exchange on the campus of Pittsburg State, as PSU held its first "Trade Your Tee Tuesday".

Student took in a trade-in shirt that was clean, in good shape and bared the name or mark of another university.

In return they got a free Pitt State shirt.

The promotion aimed to get more Gorilla Gear on campus.  All shirts that were collected during Tuesday's event will be donated to a charitable organization.

"It really is a great program that allows us to give out these t-shirts to our students, let them show their Gorilla pride, while at the same time exchanging other universities t-shirts and being able to send those out into the community and help those who need it, so it's kind of a win-win situation," says Chris Kelly, PSU's Marketing and Communications Director.

Around 200 t-shirts were traded.

The university hopes to hold an event like this again later this year.
