U.S. Open means changes to KOAM TV programming

The U.S. Open means some changes to KOAM TV programming over the next few days.

Friday, September 6:
Tennis is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  KOAM News at Noon will air at 11:00 a.m.  Tennis may delay KOAM News at 5.

Saturday, September 7:
Tennis is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and should not disrupt KOAM News at 6 or CBS Primetime programming.

Sunday, September 8:
Tennis is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and could run late, meaning delays are possible for 60 Minutes and CBS Primetime programming.

Monday, September 9:
Tennis is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  There will be no KOAM News at 5 & 6, or Wheel of Fortune, and CBS Primetime may be delayed.

    A 19-year-old pleaded guilty today (Sept. 24, 2018) to second degree burglary after breaking into a Joplin bar. On December 18th, 2017, Joplin Police responded to Equality Rocks Bar (532 S. Joplin) for a motion alarm from inside the business. Authorities say an officer heard banging from inside the business as other officers arrived and surrounded the building.     Carthage Man Dies from Injuries Suffered in Crash

    The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened on September 18th, 2018 around 7:30 a.m. about 1/2 mile east of Carthage. According to the report, 66-year-old Mark Brewer was driving a Toyota Camry on E.Chestnut St. when he rear-ended a John Deer tractor. The tractor ran off the right side of the roadway. Brewer was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where he died from his injuries on September 21st. Brewer's passenger, Julie Winter, was taken to Mercy Hospita...
