OSAGE CASINO AND OSAGE NATION TO SPONSOR WOOLAROC EXHIBIT

(Tulsa, Okla.) - Osage Casino and the Osage Nation are proud to announce that they will be Presenting Sponsors for a major event at the historic Woolaroc Museum. The art exhibit and sale is entitled "The Lewis & Clark 'Corps of Discovery'."

The exhibit consists of 100 paintings by nationally recognized Western artist Charles Fritz, and 14 paintings by Michael Haynes, all courtesy of the Timothy and Elaine Peterson Collection, illustrating one of the most extraordinary expeditions in this nation's history. Also presenting, are over 40 bronze sculptures by noted Western artist and Lewis & Clark historian, Richard Greeves, depicting "Lewis & Clark Among the Indians."

According to Frank Phillips Foundation Board of Trustees Member, Dean G. Zervas, "The Osage Nation played an important role, both at the beginning and at the end of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, and we want to showcase the historical and cultural connection in this incredible journey. Much later, a strong relationship was forged between the Osages and Frank Phillips, and that connection with Woolaroc continues to this day."

This two-day opening exhibition and sale will be held September 27-28, 2013 and open to the public through December 29, 2013. The Paintings that will be for sale will be available for viewing one week prior to the event on the Woolaroc website, www.Woolaroc.org.

Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve is located at 1925 Woolaroc Ranch Road in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
