Two Joplin men die in Kentucky boating crash

The Wayne County coroner in Kentucky says 47-year-old Jeffrey Thomas Asbell and 39-year-old Bradley Dave Smith, both of Joplin, died in a boating accident on Lake Cumberland, near Monticello, Kentucky.

The accident happened during a boating poker run when their 38 foot boat flipped over, ejecting the men.  Asbell suffered blunt force trauma to the head, while Smith had trauma to the abdomen and lower extremities.
