Carthage police officers and firefighters learning Spanish

Updated:

FROM THE CARTHAGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Beginning on September 23, 2013 the Carthage Police Department will begin Spanish language classes for our Police Officers and Firefighters.   This is the third Spanish course that we have held.  The course is conducted in partnership with Simon and Schuster as it utilizes the Pimsleur Spanish Learning course.  Because of our partnership with Simon and Schuster we are able to purchase these audio downloads at a reduced price.   Emergency services learners use the audio course which is supplemented by in class discussions facilitated by Carthage Police Master Patrol Officer Justin Compton.   This year, thanks to Simon and Schuster, we are able to offer the audio learning portion to any City of Carthage resident at the same reduced price.   Residents can purchase this learning module by clicking the link at CarthagePD.org or directly at https://getpimsleur.com/carthage/DownloadManagerFlexForResidents.html?ogpgfc=1035
