Eric Schott Named National Division II Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Missouri Southern junior distance runner Eric Schott has been named the Division II National Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the track and field and cross country coaches association. 

Shott was the top runner for the seventh-ranked Lions at last Friday's double-dual with Arkansas and Missouri held in Fayetteville. He finished third overall with a time of 20:15.3 over the distance of the 6.6k course. He finished third in the race against Arkansas and won the dual against Missouri, defeating 20 other Tigers in the process.

Schott and the Lions will be back in action on September 21, when Southern plays host to the annual Southern Stampede at the MSSU Cross Country Course.
