Influenza vaccinations available at the Newton County Health Department

NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY THE NEWTON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Seasonal Influenza Vaccinations are here!

Now is the time to get your shot. Newton County Health Department has begun vaccinating for influenza. We will administer vaccine on a walk in basis from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Every Tuesday, during the month of October; NCHD will stay open late until 6:00 p.m.

This year we will be offering several different presentations of the 2013-14 influenza vaccine. All residents will be screened to determine which presentation is indicated for their age and health condition.

The Newton County Health Department will accept some health insurance plans and Medicare. The different presentations of the 2013-14 influenza vaccine will also be available for cash purchase.

The price of the influenza vaccine ranges from $20.00 to $35.00.

Seasonal influenza vaccination will not be available for pregnant women.
