Webb City Building celebrates 100 years in business

It's a pretty sweet occasion for one Webb City business...who's building is celebrating one hundred years.

The Minerva Candy Company building located on Main Street certainly doesn't look 100 years old, but thanks to renovations, they're ready to deliver goodies for all.

The store was originally opened in St. Louis in 1905...but opened their Webb City location in 1913.

In addition to candy making...the spot holds daily lunch specials and is a spot for local musicians to perform.

"We decided to come up here and walk through and see all the improvements they've made over 100 years ago and its amazing." says Joplin Resident, Naomi Miller, who visits the store frequently.

Manager Misty Sullivan says it's hard to take in all the success the company has had since the 1900's. "It's crazy. it's a mad house but I love it." she says.
