Format For Red-White Series Announced

The University of Arkansasbaseball team will hold two five-game series and an "if necessary" three-gameseries as part of its Red-White series this fall, head coach Dave Van Hornannounced on Tuesday.

 

The first five-game series isscheduled to start on Wednesday with game two scheduled for Thursday. First pitchfor each of the first two games of the series is scheduled for 3 p.m. Gamethree will be played on Sunday. Game four and five of the series are each "ifnecessary" games with game four slated for Tuesday, Sept. 24 and game five setfor Wednesday, Sept. 25. First pitch for the final three games of the serieswill be at 2:30 p.m.

 

Dueto Bikes, Blues and BBQ going on this week, parking for Wednesday andThursday's games will be available in the Baum East lot across Razorback Road.

 

Dates and times for the secondfive-game series will be announced at a later date. If the two teams split thefirst two series, an "if necessary" three-game series will be played. Dates andtimes for the three-game series will be announced at a later date.

    Google Earth Co-Founder and Kansas Secretary of State candidate Brian McClendon plans a visit to southeast Kansas. McClendon is currently a University of Kansas Research professor.     Galena Fire Chief Bill Hall says another fire was apparently set last night (Feb 19).  He says it was in an open field and there were no structures involved. Authorities say last night's fire was put out one hour after crews arrived. The fire Marshal is investigating.  Hall says the city does have a few leads, however, at this point they don't know if the fires from last week are connected to last night's fire.
