Wednesday's Powerball is up to $400 million

Updated:

Tonight's Powerball Jackpot is up to $400 million, the fifth largest lottery prize in U.S. history.

Some Four State residents took time today to purchase, what they hope, is the ticket to financial security.

Your chances of winning - 1 in 175.2 million.

If you are the lucky winner you'd take home roughly $223 million after taxes

"If you have a chance at $400 million, why wouldn't you try it?" says Wayne Harris, a general manager of a local Kum & Go.  "I mean that's the whole point.  And you'll have lots of people who have never bought a Powerball, but when they hear that number, they're buying."

The largest Powerball Jackpot was this past May - $590.5 million.
