No. 5 Razorbacks Ready For Southern Stampede

Press Release University of Arkanas: 

The No. 5 Arkansas men's crosscountry team will travel to Joplin, Mo., to compete at the Missouri SouthernStampede on Saturday, Sept. 21. The race is set to begin at 9:45 a.m.

 

The meet will feature two top-sixprograms with No. 6 Tulsa joining the pack alongside host Missouri Southern andSaint Mary.

 

"I am pleased with where we areat right now," head coach Chris Bucknam said. "Everyone did a really great jobthis summer by getting their work in and staying in great shape. By taking aweek off of competition, we have really allowed ourselves to stay healthy andprepare for the rest of the season. We will have our secondary team thisweekend, we have some guys that are developmental guys that need to get somemore racing experience so that we can hold some of our top guys out and preparefor October and November."

 

The Razorbacks are coming to themeet after a week off of competition. In Arkansas season opener, junior StanleyKebenei and senior Kemoy Campbell led the way for the meet and the Razorbacks,to help the team win a pair of dual meet victories. Kebenei was named theSoutheastern Conference (SEC) Runner of the Week for his efforts during themeet.
