Project Sticker Shock takes on underage drinking

Some high school students in Humboldt, Kansas are taking a stand against underage drinking with Project Sticker Shock.

It's a community campaign to educate others on the consequences of providing alcohol to those under the age of 21.

Students participating in Project Sticker Shock are visiting local stores to place stop sign stickers that display warning messages on beer cases, wine coolers, and other alcohol products.

The hope is that seeing these messages will encourage people to think twice before supplying alcohol to underage kids

"It is very important because if we don't know people are more likely to do it, people are more prone to do it and they want to do it," says Humboldt High School senior Alex Murrow.  "If we can do a little bit of awareness than that helps."
