Pittsburg State Hosts Annual Family Day - KOAM TV 7

Pittsburg State Hosts Annual Family Day

Updated:

It's all about the family this weekend as Pittsburg State University celebrates Family Day. The day kicked off with a "Dia De La Familia" celebration at the Crimson and Gold Ballroom in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Families had all the fixing for burritos, games and crafts at their disposal with a photo booth ready to take silly pictures.

PSU's office of Student Diversity hosted the event, and say it's all about getting together and having fun.

"I know that we all love it when campuses filled to the brim with a lot of people. We're just excited to see new and returning faces," said Meagan Smejdir, Program Coordinator for Campus Activities.

This was just one of the Family Day events, games and activities lasted all day--leading up to Gorillafest before the big game.
