Razorbacks Fall In Consolation Quarterfinals Of SEC Fall Classic

TheUniversity of Arkansas men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the SEC FallClassic on Saturday.

Seniors Mike Nott and Hall Fess both won their first match of the day, advancing to thequarterfinal round of the consolation bracket. Nott defeated freshman DanteSaleh of Auburn 6-2, 3-6, 10-6 before falling to Florida's Elliot Orkin 6-4,6-3. Fess beat LSU's Korinek 6-3, 7-6(5) before dropping a three-setheartbreaker against Michael Alford of Florida 3-6, 7-6(5), 10-6.

TheRazorbacks will be back in action Friday, Sept. 27, at the Naval AcademyInvitational in Annapolis, Md.

    Crews Battle Vehicle Fire On Highway 69

    The Cherokee Township, Weir, and Galena Fire Departments fought a vehicle fire today (May 25) around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 69 near Highway 103. According to authorities a truck was heading south on 69 Highway when the vehicle started smoking. The truck was then completely engulfed by flames. The driver managed to escape the vehicle without any serious injury. Crews had the fire put out by 8:00 p.m. No word yet on what caused the truck to catch on fire.More >>
