Bomb Plot Suspect Prepares for Court

Updated:

Trial begins Monday for the teen charged with plotting to kill classmates at a Northeast Oklahoma High School. 19 year old Sammie Eaglebear Chavez appears in Washington County court on charges surrounding the shooting plot.

Chavez was arrested in December for allegedly plotting to lure students into the Barltesville High  School Auditorium with a plan to shoot them after chaining the doors shut.

Chavez is pleading not guilty.

Prosecutors say Chavez also planned to place bombs by the auditorium doors and detonate them as police officers approached.
