Pittsburg residents raise funds for 4 year old with cancer

Updated:

Pittsburg holds a benefit to support a 4 year old during  his battle with cancer.

Aiden Long was diagnosed in July after doctors found a wilms tumor in his stomach. The tumor was the size of a small watermelon and was attached to his kidney.
Doctors immediately removed the tumor and part of Aiden's diaphragm.

Both of Aiden's parents were unable to continue working because of doctors appointments and  weekly chemotherapy treatments in Kansas City.

On Sunday Mooreman's Restaurant &  Bar hosted a benefit for the family to help with living and medical costs.
Aiden's parent's say he's unaware he's sick and want him to keep functioning as normally as possible.  They say they are grateful for the support.

The family has a facebook page where support can be offered. Click here for a link.
