JLT opens seasons with musical "Gypsy"

Joplin Little Theatre kicks off its season with the broadway musical Gypsy.
The musical tells the story of Louise and June as they are pushed into performing in vaudeville shows by their stage mother,  Momma Rose.  Louise later grows into the famous stripper Gypsy Rose Lee.  Leading the cast as Rose is Lisa Olliges Green, with her daughter Louise played by Missouri Southern State University student, Mollie Sanders and Lindsey Daniels of Carl Junction High School as June.
A special performance to benefit the Angel Guild happened Saturday but opening night is Wednesday, September 25th.  Evening performances run through September 28th with a matinee on Sunday, September 29th.
