Leadership Kansas members visit PSU tech school

Members of the 2013 class of Leadership Kansas, a statewide leadership program, spent time on the Pittsburg State campus on Thursday.

The group of more than 40 Kansas professionals toured the Kansas Technology Center and got a hands-on tour of the construction simulators in the PSU School of Construction.

Event organizer Shawn Naccarato says bringing the group to campus shows how vital the College of Technology is for the entire state.

"This facility serves such a distinct and unique role for the state, I think some people are mistaken when they think this is about Pittsburg - it is the Kansas Technology Center and it does serve the technology needs of the entire state," says Naccarato.

Speakers at Thursday's event included the president of AT&T Kansas and the CEO of Craw-Kan.
