UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS MEN’S BASKETBALL

With the start of a 18-game home regular season schedule just overa month away, mini plans for the 2013-14 University of Arkansas men'sbasketball season went on sale Thursday.

 

Each of the two mini plans include a combination of at leastthree SEC contests, ranging from $100-$150 per seat. For more information or toreserve a seat, contact the Razorback Ticket Center by phone at 1-800-982-HOGS(4647) and online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com.

The Cardinal Mini Plan includes showdowns with Clemson (Dec.7), High Point (Dec. 28), Florida (Jan. 11), Auburn (Jan. 25) and LSU (Feb.15). The White Mini Plan offers games at Bud Walton Arena against Texas-SanAntonio (Jan. 4), Kentucky (Jan. 14), Alabama (Feb. 5), South Carolina (Feb.19) and Georgia (Mar. 1).

 

Season ticket packages for head coach Mike Anderson's thirdyear went on sale at the beginning of the month, starting as low as $360 andinclude admission to 18 regular season and two exhibition games at the"Basketball Palace of Mid-America", Bud Walton Arena.

 

The Razorbacks return 11 players from last year's 19-winteam, while ushering in a highly-touted recruiting class that features two ESPNTop 50 recruits in Bobby Portis and Moses Kingsley. The Hogs also add LittleRock native and Houston transfer Alandise Harris, who is eligible after sittingout 2012-13 due to NCAA four-year transfer rules.

(AP) - Oklahoma is adding two of the school's former athletes and NCAA champions to its wrestling coaching staff.Wrestling coach Mark Cody announced Tuesday that Andrew Howe has been hired as an assistant coach, while Kendric Maple will serve as a volunteer assistant coach.Howe is a four-time All-American, while Maple earned three All-American honors.     BOSTON (AP) - The Toronto Blue Jays have traded right-hander Liam Hendriks and catcher Erik Kratz to the Kansas City Royals for infielder Danny Valencia.The deal between playoff contenders was announced as the Blue Jays were starting their game in Boston on Monday night.The 29-year-old Valencia hit .282 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 36 games for Kansas City.
