Joplin's gas price falls below $3

Joplin and surrounding areas see gas prices fall below$3 a gallon. 
The trend of falling gas prices has consumers smiling at the pump. Those getting gas in Joplin weighed in. 
 "I can't tell you why it went down but it's nice," said Lauria Lopez 
Jessica Tillman a college student recently purchased her first vehicle.
 "I think it's amazing," said Jessica Tillman.
Gasbuddy.com shows the cheapest gas prices in the area.  According to the site Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma gas prices have all fallen since this time last year. 
 "When you only got 20 dollars it can only go so far and seeing gas prices at $2.99 it makes a big difference," said Jarvis Simon. 
Consumers at the pump hope prices continue to drop. 
"It's been along long time so it's good to see it I wish it would stay this way but it won't," said Ed Chevalier.
