Joplin man drives car into church, cited by MO Highway Patrol

A Joplin man faces charges of driving while intoxicated after his Dodge Caravan crashed into a church. 
30 year old Eric Manning was cited by the Missouri Highway Patrol  after his vehicle left the road, went through a ditch and then hit Faith Tabernacle Church on Schifferdecker Road a mile Northwest of Joplin.
Manning suffered moderate injuries in the crash just before two Saturday morning. In addition to a DWI charge, Manning was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, driving while suspended , careless and imprudent driving, no insurance and no seatbelt.
