Allen County and Crawford County domestic violence services receive grants

Governor Brownback announces $4 million in grants for domestic violence and sexual assault victims in Kansas

Topeka- Kansas Governor Sam Brownback today announced the grant recipients of the 2014 Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services Grant program. This $4.1 million state general fund program provides funds to support services, outreach, and training for community-based sexual and domestic violence victims and direct service providers.

    On September 13th, 2018, Children's Mercy Hospital contacted the Iola Police Department about a child with head injuries. Police executed a search warrant at the child's home on McGuire Dr. in Iola, Kansas with assistance from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
