Men's Cross Country wins Jackling Jocks Invite

The ninthranked Missouri Southern men's cross country team placed six runners in the top13 today and took home the title in the Jackling Jocks Invite hosted byMissouri S&T in Rolla. 

The Lionswere led by AndrewWebster and AdrianTodd as the pair finished back-to-back in fourth and fifth place,respectively. Webster ran the 8k course in a time of 25:35.14, while Toddfinished in a time of 25:36.95. 

RyanJackson and ColtonWooldridge placed ninth and tenth, whiel NathanHenry and William Rush placed 12th and 13th, respectively. Jacob Hoffmanfinished 46th, while DrakeSmelser placed 60th. 

The Lionsfinished with 40 points, 15 in front of second place Southwest Baptist.Missouri S&T was third, followed by Drury, Lindenwood, Webster Universityand William Jewell to round out the team scores. 

The Lionswill be back in action on Oct. 26, when they travel to Pittsburg, Kan. to takepart in the 2013 MIAA Cross Country Championships.

     Defending MIAA regular season champion Central Missouri has once again been selected by the coaches to finish atop the league earning ten first place votes. They are followed by Southwest Baptist who won the MIAA post-season tournament in overtime over Central Oklahoma who is picked two points behind them in third place after receiving a single first place vote.More >>
