Carl Junction Students Host Breast Cancer Walk

Residents in Carl Junction, Missouri came out in full force in their pink to support breast cancer. And it was all organized by students.

Members of the Carl Junction future business leaders of America completed their community service project by hosting a breast cancer walk, which took place at bulldog stadium. All proceeds are then turned over to Carl Junction cares who then shares all their proceeds with Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks and Hope 4 You.

Whether they were walking in honor of family members or friends - students think everyone has a connection to breast cancer.

"It affects anyone really. Whether it's a family member or friend. That's why everyone can get involved so easily because everyone has experienced it in some kind of way," said Carl Junction's FBLA Treasurer Madison Adrian.

The group raised over $4600 for CJ Cares Sunday. That amount exceeded their goal of $3,000 dollars.
