Levy could provide employment for developmentally disabled residents in Neosho

Crowder Industries Workshop in Neosho, Missouri held a press conference on Tuesday morning to address the upcoming levy election.

Crowder Industries is one of 88 workshops in the state of Missouri which provide employment and development opportunities for developmentally disabled residents.

Crowder Industries provides employment for approximately 130 local residents and they're currently operating without any local levy support.

"We don't need a massive cash infusion, we need a small amount of dependable, stable, local support to ensure the future and growth of the Crowder Workshop for the service of all our developmentally disabled friends," says volunteer Michael Franks.

If the levy passes in the upcoming election the average household would see a tax increase of about $11 a year.
