Veteran benefits information fair held in Miami, Okla

Updated:

A veteran benefits information fair was held Wednesday in Miami, Oklahoma.

The event was held to assist veterans and their families with information on VA healthcare, claims assistance, veterans service organizations, and much more.

Event organizers say the healthcare enrollment process can sometimes be overwhelming and they're hoping to make it a little easier to understand.

"If veterans choose to they can disenroll from the VA, but it's possible that, in the future, if they try to reenroll, there might be new laws or new stringent requirements for them to get back in for VA healthcare," says John Alley, a Medical Administration Specialist.
