Traffic alert: South Broadway Road Improvement in Pittsburg

NEWS RELEASE ISSUED OCTOBER 21, 2013 BY THE CITY OF PITTSBURG

South Broadway Road Improvement - The contractors will begin milling the surface of US-69B (Broadway) from Second Street to Madison Street at 7:00am on Wednesday, October 23, 2013.

Traffic control will be in place to allow traffic to use Broadway however, some delays may be expected. Crews hope to have the milling completed by Saturday, October 26, 2013. Asphalt paving will start as soon as the milling is completed.

Due to low seasonal night temperatures the paving operation will occur during the daylight hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Side streets will be temporarily closed as the milling and pavement operation moves through these intersections.

Motorists are urged to drive slowly and to follow the traffic control devices set up in the work zone.
