Investigation underway in death at Jasper County Jail

NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY THE JASPER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a Death Investigation that occurred at the Jasper County Jail in Carthage, Mo.

On 10-22-13 at approximately 0030 hrs, Jasper County Deputies responded to the Jail in reference to a Death Investigation. Cody A. Ennis, 21, of Mt. Home Ark. Was found deceased inside his cell from an apparent suicide. The Investigation is ongoing.

An autopsy is scheduled for 10-22-13.

    The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is working an accident on Highway 66 east of Riverton, Kansas. According to Sheriff Groves, a road construction worker from KDOT was taken to a Joplin hospital with what he believes to be non-life threatening injuries after being electrocuted today (June 22, 2018).
