Freeman Health System hosts third annual Trunk or Treat - October 26

Updated:

POSTED ON BEHALF OF FREEMAN HEALTH SYSTEM

Freeman Health System hosts third annual Trunk or Treat

When: 3 pm

Saturday, October 26

Where: Parking lot west of Freeman Cancer Institute, located at 3415 McIntosh Circle Drive

Background: Fearing that the thousands of homes impacted by the 2011 tornado would prevent children from trick or treating, the Employee Experience Team at Freeman Health System planned a Trunk or Treat gathering for Joplin youth in October of that year. The six departments who hosted the event hoped a few dozen children might benefit from their planning. They were amazed when 1,000 people attended. The event has grown so much each year that 3,000 are expected to attend this year!

During Freeman Trunk or Treat, children will enjoy games, hot dogs, inflatables, and—of course—candy! The community is invited to join the Freeman family for this free event.

Costumes are encouraged. Parking will be available at the Trunk or Treat location or across the street from the David A. Ball, MD, Medical Building, located at 1111 McIntosh Circle Drive.

Freeman Trunk or Treat is hosted by the Freeman Employee Experience Team. This team hosts events monthly for their fellow employees and their families, including a breakfast with Santa Claus, movie nights, swimming, and other events. This team is one of several Freeman has established as part of its Quest to be the Best initiative, a program which helps develop Freeman’s culture as the best place to give and receive care.
