Joplin Airport's old terminal officially reopens to new business

An old terminal at the Joplin Regional Airport lands a new use.  The old terminal building had been largely unused for a few years now, ever since a new airport was built for commercial passenger transit.

But today, the old terminal building was officially opened to Alpha Air Center.  The company deals primarily with private and corporate transit, such as flying business executives.  The cost of the renovation project was about $200,000.  Officials with Alpha Air Center say both the new interior and the building's location will be ideal for attracting business.

"This space was a great, wide open space," says Joshua Crooker with Alpha Air Center.  "And so it allows us to come in and draw in and be that first impression for executives when they come into town.  We want guests that come into Joplin to be impressed and to remember us.  So we wanted a very first class facility to bring people in."
