Symphony Hauntcert in Pittsburg - KOAM TV 7

Symphony Hauntcert in Pittsburg

Updated:

A symphony hauntcert featuring spooky music is an early treat for residents in Pittsburg.  The Southeast Kansas Symphony hosted the free concert at the Memorial Auditorium.

It's the first year for the Halloween themed concert.  Musicians were also in the spirit, as many wore costumes of their own.  The informal event was a way to show people a symphony can be more than just music.

"Doing a little bit of pop lighter program...it caters better to the masses," says a symphony member.

After the concert, the musicians handed out candy to children dressed in costumes.
