Take back in Cherokee County collects 202 pounds of unwanted medications

Updated:

POSTED ON BEHALF OF THE CHEROKEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Our Cherokee County Sheriffs Department conducted their seventh drug collection event this past Saturday, October 26th. This was another opportunity for the public to dispose of unwanted medications, not only reducing the potential for abuse but also insuring their proper disposal for the protection of our waterways.

During this take-back event, another 202 pounds of unwanted medications were collected....increasing our County's total to 1109 pounds!

These continued collection events would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of Sheriff David Groves and the cooperation of his staff.
