Cowboys No. 8 in Preseason AP Poll

Press Release Oklahoma State University: 

 Oklahoma State's Cowboy Basketball team is ranked No. 8 inthe preseason Associated Press poll, released today. It is OSU's highestranking in the AP poll since the final poll of the 2004-05 season, when thePokes were ranked sixth. It is the highest preseason ranking since thebeginning of that season when Oklahoma State was No. 7.

 

During the 2004-05 season, OSU was ranked in the top 10 of everypoll that season. The Cowboys moved as high as third for back-to-back weeks inlate December. Oklahoma State was ranked in the final eight AP polls lastseason, reaching as high as No. 13 on March 4.

 

The Cowboys host Emporia State in the final exhibition game of theseason on Friday, Nov. 1, at 7 pm inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The regularseason starts a week later as OSU hosts Mississippi Valley State on Friday,Nov. 8, at 7 pm as well.
