“Paint the Town Green and Gold” Contest Winners!

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) – Homewood Suites by Hilton at 2642 E. 32nd St. in Joplin is the 1st Place winner of the 2013 “Paint the Town Green and Gold” contest at Missouri Southern State University.

The effort helped the community show pride for the Lions during Homecoming Week. Homes and businesses were invited to take part. A panel of student judges traveled the city this week to view participants to make the final selections.

* The 2nd place winner is The Joplin Globe at 117 E. 4th Street in Joplin.

* The 3rd place winner is Joplin Dental Care at 1802 W. 32nd in Joplin.

The name of the winner officially was announced on KSN-TV’s “Living Well Program” today.

Southern Prize Packages will be awarded to the winners. These will include a live appearance on KSN's "Living Well," an appearance in the MSSU Homecoming Parade and Homecoming Game, football and basketball tickets, a team building experience for employees, and more.

MSSU thanks every business and individual who entered the contest. The community is invited to the Homecoming Parade at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 on the MSSU campus and to the Homecoming game beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fred Hughes Stadium at Missouri Southern State University.
