Pancake feed benefits students

A pancake feed is supporting some students in Southeast Kansas.  Pittsburg High School students with a marketing group called DECA held a fundraiser to help off-set the cost to Kansas City for a competition.

The group helped prepare and deliver pancakes to guests, along with juice, coffee, and milk.  More than 85 tickets were sold at $5 each.

"It takes a lot," explains Christin Reece, a student at Pittsburg High School.  "You have to get the tickets, you have to get the brochures, you have to make posters, you have to get the people and motivate the people."

The state competition is held in March.
