Lions volleyball drops 3-0 decision at Northwest Missouri

The Missouri Southern volleyball team ran into a tough Northwest Missouri squad tonight, as the Lions dropped a three sets to none match to the Bearcats. Individual set scores were 18-25, 16-25 and 19-25. 

The Lions (4-22, 0-13 MIAA) was led offensively by Payton Graves as the sophomore had eight kills, hit .312 and added three digs and a block. Callie Whetstone had five kills, while Nai Montano, Erin Rice, Krishna Merriman and Mikayla Avery had four kills each. Abby Finder dished out 19 assists, while Avery and Danielle Severns had nine digs each. 

Northwest (11-15, 5-8 MIAA) was led by Shelby Duren with eight kills. Kristen Hudgens and Bridget Hanafin had 15 and 14 assists, respectively, while Bailey Vance had 18 digs. 
The Lions will be back in action on November 5 as the Lions travel to Arkansas-Fort Smith for a 7 pm first-serve.
