The Lady Backs pushed their lead to nine (54-45), but the Lions went on a 6-0 run on two layups from Jones and a pair of freebies from Hartzog and the score was 54-41 Arkansas with 8:13 to go.

A three pointer from Jaclkson for the Lady Backs pushed the lead up to 11 (70-59) with 45 seconds to play and a jumper from Hartzog the next trip down would provide the final points.

The Lions shot 36 percent from the field and 33 percent from the three point line, but made 17-19 from the charity stripe to shoot 90 percent from the line.

Southern forced 21 Arkansas turnovers and scored 17 points off of the miscues, while holding the Lady Backs to just 1-5 from long range in the second half and just 3-11 in the game.
