Phone lines restored at Heartland Rural Electric in Girard

Updated November 6, 2013 at 10:50 AM: Heartland Rural Electric in Girard says their phone lines were restored late Tuesday evening.

Should Heartland customers need to report a power outage they may call 1-800-835-9586.

Phone lines are down at Heartland Rural Electric in Galena, Kansas. An official with Heartland says any of their customers who lose power are to contact their local sheriff's office. The sheriff's office will then pass your information on to Heartland.

The official says once the phone lines are up and running they will contact us hear at KOAM and Fox 14, and we will let you know.
