Mercy Hospital in Joplin is bringing faster, safer health care to those in need.
Mercy Life Line Air Medical Services is adding a new helicopter to it's fleet.
The new helicopter will aid in getting help to critically-ill patients quicker.
The advanced on-board technology means a higher level of safety for those patients and the flight crew as they make their way to the hospital.
"The ultimate thing that the aircraft is that everyone goes home at the end of the day - crew goes home, pilot goes home, patient goes home, and you don't do that without all of the bells and whistles that are linked to safety," says Charles Sheppard, Mercy Life Line Medical Director.
Mercy Life Line initiated its first ever air medical program in Southwest Missouri back in 1984.
