Spirit Squad Bookstore to Open in Northpark Mall

Joplin, MO (SNS) – The new Spirit Squad Bookstore will be open Thursday (Nov. 21) through Jan. 7 at Northpark Mall.

The store, located in front of Regis Salon near J.C. Penney, is an extension of the Missouri Southern State University Bookstore. It will feature apparel, jewelry, mugs and other university-branded merchandise for sale and will be staffed by members of the Missouri Southern cheerleading and dance squads.

A portion of the proceeds raised at the mall store will benefit the Spirit Squad, which will be attending a national collegiate competition in Florida next summer.

“We’re very excited about this opportunity for our Spirit Squad,” said Cassie Mathes, director of University Relations & Marketing at Missouri Southern. “This is also a means of getting more Missouri Southern logo apparel out in the community. There’s more support for Missouri Southern than ever before and we get frequent requests for merchandise. We wanted to make it readily available to people during the holiday season.”

The bookstore will be open during regular mall Monday through Sunday.
