Fifty-one members of the Pittsburg State University football team were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll Thursday (Nov. 21), including three players who also received MIAA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Pitt State placed a league-high 51 student-athletes on the honor roll among the 14-team conference. A total of 301 student-athletes were honored for maintaining at least a 3.00 GPA following at least two terms of attendance, excluding summer sessions. Northwest Missouri State University was second with 38 honorees.
Additionally, junior safety Keeston Terry (3.57 GPA, physical education), junior defensive end Avery Adair (3.56 GPA, management) and senior tight end Connor Combes (3.50 GPA, biology) received recognition on MIAA Scholar-Athlete Team. Student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA following two terms of attendance at a member school and earn All-MIAA honors to receive the MIAA Scholar-Athlete Awad. A total of 25 student-athletes received the honor.
