Missouri Southern State University and Crowder College officials sign what they deem the first of many partnership agreements.
Honors Department leaders at the two schools along with administrators signed documents creating the partnership designed to make the transition from a two year program to four years easier for students.
There are 20 students in the Crowder Honors program which would have standards in line with Missouri Southern.
"We're simply not getting enough students through the higher education process at all, and so beginning with some of our best and brightest and showing them some better and more supportive paths is a great start to helping more students see the possibilities," says Dr. Kent Farnsworth, the Crowder College Interim President.
Officials believe knowing which courses will transfer directly should save Crowder students both time and money.
